First published in 2020, the Penguin Calendar revolves around one literary theme each year, inviting twelve young illustrators to collaboratively create 365 illustrations. In addition to serving as a functional yearly planner, the Penguin Calendar stands out in China’s calendar market with its high level of originality and recognisable brand identity.

The Penguin Calendar 2021 featured stories from 85 unique bookshops around the world, along with over 40 city bookshop travel maps.

The 2022 edition, shifts focus to the creative experiences of renowned writers, connecting the literary heritage of over 50 cities across the world by tracing the birthplaces, former residences, and sources of inspiration of over 60 authors.
