Adapting a classic literature series with an established visual identity to the Chinese market demanded a degree of creative discipline to ensure the visual codes of the original series remained consistent. A double-side layout structure allows audiences to begin their reading experience in the language they are mostly familiar with, from either the front or the back of the book.
A distinctive merchandise collection features ten original designs across five product categories, allowing Chinese readers to engage with the brand in a more playful way.
This collection helped propel Little Black Classics to critical acclaim, raising its profile to make it one of the first successful crowdfunding projects in China’s publishing industry.
